Is Omegle coming back?

Omegle went offline after 14 years. Then, in 2026, the homepage changed. Here’s the timeline — with screenshots.

The shutdown

Omegle shut down after 14 years of operation on November 8, 2023 (Wikipedia). The founder wrote that “Operating Omegle is no longer sustainable, financially nor psychologically.”

Omegle was updated

On June 19, 2026, Omegle.com was updated according to the Internet Archive. The home page now says “Omegle is launching soon.” Whether it’s still under the same owner isn’t clear — but it’s a strong signal that Omegle may return, especially with AI moderation that wasn’t available at the same scale during its first run.
